Serkan Cura studied fashion at the Royal Academy of Antwerp
and then sharpened his talent while working at the Parisian fashion house Jean
Paul Gaultier.
To the best of my knowledge all of his pieces are made by
hand from start to finish.
No need to mention that he likes to use a lot of feathers in
his work.
It may seem that a lot of the Serkan pieces are a bit on the
dark side, but with a lot of color, like this picture by photographer Christian
Lartillot which can seen on the Dark Beauty Magazine website.
As you can see by this piece which he designed for the Victoria
Secret show, he also creates much lighter designs as well.
I think if I was to write a book about him I would call it “A
dress for the goddess designed by Serkan Cura”.
