Gigi Hadid - Fresh Feather Style

Gigi Hadid

“in a body-hugging bronze slip dress with feather detailing, paired with layered jewelry and brown patent-leather boots at the launch of the latest Wonderlust Fragrance Campaign with Michael Kors in New York City.”

To be honest we have seen Gigi Hadid wearing feather dresses in the past but this picture comes from “People” magazine website and its from this past week.

So therefore it is FRESH..

Bollywood Feather Fashion

Yes that's right Bollywood not Hollywood, as in Hindi cinema.

The word Bollywood is a portmanteau of “Bombay” and “Hollywood”.

If you would like some more reading on the topic check out Wikipedia.

The world is coming ever closer to a complete global culture, but we still are not just there yet.

But reading this article from the “ARAB NEWS” website definitely made me think about the subject.

Just think about this paragraph from the above mentioned article.

“With many designers from the Middle East showing at Paris Couture Week (this year, Maison Rabih Kayrouz became the second Arab designer after Elie Saab to be authorized by the French Couture Federation to use the tag haute couture), they understand silhouette and tailoring, and because the region has a heritage of handcrafted beading and threadwork, they are able to marry the best of East and West.”
Diana Penty wears a Atelier Zuhra dress with feather embelishment.
The feathers look like ostrich spads.

What do I mean when I a global culture?

To put it very briefly, in modern times we are all being influenced by the same trends in fashion, food and even language, on a global level.

In some ways even religion, think about it, there is a feeling of a developing world wide religion of peace and love. Of course you could say otherwise but that's the way I feel.

To sum up what the article is saying, the Hindi world of high fashion are really into Arab designers.

“Priyanka Chopra wore a white strapless gown from Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika, Aishwarya Rai wore a white gown by Beirut-based Ashi Studio, Kangana Ranaut opted for a sheer embroidered gown by Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco and Diana Penty was spotted in a yellow dress with feather details by Oman’s Atelier Zuhra.”

This itself is not so hard to imagine because of the geographical and cultural closeness of the Arab and Hindi worlds. What is interesting is the fact that we are seeing a lot of these designers also in the more Western fashion world.

Mohit Rai, who is one of India's leading celebrity stylists mentions in the article that not enough of Indi designers are catering to the Western evening wear industry.

But there is no question that we are definitely seeing more of them as time passes.

Jungle Feather Fashion

Rumble In The Jungle

Get really down and tribal with these awesome feather pieces from festivalia.com

These feather and leather collars are from a company called Sea Dragon Studio.

The thing that I saw on their website that really got my attention was this crazy cool jump suite.

Me and my wife are planning on making a crazy anniversary party for ourselves this year and we were thinking about showing up in something like this.

Well I guess I mean these.

But what struck a chord with my deepest soul levels was the mention of Burning Man.

These two jumpsuits are called Burning Man outfits on the website seadragonstudio.com website.

And that just created a storm of very deep emotions in my being because once again, it looks like I am not going to be making it this year, and I want to be there so badly.

Amazing D.I.Y Feather Fashion Video`s From Creative Life TV

These videos really brought two thoughts to my mind.

the first thing that I had thought when I first saw them was that I had for sure already written about them, just because they are so good how could it be that I have not seen and shared them already.

But then I saw that they have only been around for about a year, which is really incredible because you would think that youtube already had everything five years ago, but these girls go to show you how not true that is.

So if you were thinking about starting your own YouTube channel, but then said “Na it has all been done”, maybe you should reconsider.

Ok so back to the topic at hand, these awesome D.I.Y feather fashion videos.

By the way each one is also super short, under five minutes, so they are easy to watch.

The first two are on how to make gorgeous feather dresses using feather boas.

She is using black feather boas in the videos but you can add more color if you so choose.

This last one she shows how to use ostrich feathers to make these super cute feather slip-ons.

Great work and thanks creativelife_tv!
