Giambattista Valli

Giambattista Valli, the Italian artist who opened up the ready to wear accessories store for the high class in Paris.

He was inspired from his youth by the beauties in his native city of Rome an then was trained and privileged to practice with the giants of the fashion world, until in 2005 he launched his own collection at a solo show in Paris.

Now let us have a look at some of his extraordinary feather works.

Beside for being the super soldier from the TV series dark angel, model, mom and a business women, our beautiful American woman seems to be big into the feather apparel.

Here is a great picture of her out with her daughter sporting a super cute feather headband.

Here she is wearing a space age metallic feather jacket on the cover of an Asian magazine.

Basil Soda

Basil Soda was a Lebanese born fashion designer. He passed away this past march “2015” after battling with cancer for some time.

Some of his creations were worn by some of the famous ladies of our time such as Paris Hilton, Giuliana Rancic and Morena Baccarin.

Her in his memory are five of his beautiful feather fashion creations.

Feather Fashion Summer 2015

Even though the summer is just a bit more then half way through here may be just the thing you are looking for.

If you are looking to spice up your wardrobe with some of the color and magic of feathers here are some of the hottest fashion out there this year.

This denim jacket with feather trim is beautiful for those cool summer nights.

You can buy it from Burberry.com or if you want be just a bit creative you make it yourself very easily.

All you need is a denim jacket and some Ostrich fringe. Just simply sow the ostrich fringe to the bottom of the jacket and you’re done. You can take a look at are line of fringes and choose a different color and style of feather also.

These Native American styles were a big hit at the Milan Fashion Week this year.

Take a look at this picture from the Rolling Stone website and you can see that this is a style not reserved for the fashion show.

Adding feather earrings, feather hair extensions and a feather necklace to you’re out fit will add plenty of color and beauty.  

Serkan Cura

Serkan Cura studied fashion at the Royal Academy of Antwerp and then sharpened his talent while working at the Parisian fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier.

To the best of my knowledge all of his pieces are made by hand from start to finish.

No need to mention that he likes to use a lot of feathers in his work. 

It may seem that a lot of the Serkan pieces are a bit on the dark side, but with a lot of color, like this picture by photographer Christian Lartillot which can seen on the Dark Beauty Magazine website.

As you can see by this piece which he designed for the Victoria Secret show, he also creates much lighter designs as well.

I think if I was to write a book about him I would call it “A dress for the goddess designed by Serkan Cura”. 

2015 “Milan Fashion Week”

Feathers were a big hit at this years “Milan Fashion Week”

Here are some of the gorgeous feather apparel that was seen on the runway. 

This sky blue dress by Fendi is my personal favorite. 

This simple hat with the feather from Sensi Studio, comes to remind us that beauty need not always be complicated. 

Like much of Roberto Cavalli`s  work this out fit is stunning and dark.

JACQUETTA WHEELER feathers

We first mentioned Jacquetta in our earlier post about the designer Matthew Williamson.

But this Victoria Secret angel can also be found sporting feathers in other places.

Here are some pictures of her modeling the Roberto Cavalli fall 2003 line with its feathers flare.

And here she is with Sting singer Gordon Sumner at the 'Amnesty International - VIP Burlesque Party' at Canvas on November 25, 2004 in London, England sporting a very cool feather head piece.
