Celebrity Halloween Costumes 2015

Every year I have put up a post after Halloween about what some of the celebs have worn for Halloween costumes this year, but this year I decided to do one before to give our readers some food for thought before Halloween.

And I am sure that I will still do another one after to let you all know what happened this year.

Here is a picture of Paris Hilton in 2010 dressed as a native American at a Playboy party. Just note that this costume was deemed controversial.

Look at this super cute costume that Lucy Hale wore, she I dressed as the TWITTER bird.

It seems that supremodel Heidi Klum is a big fan of Halloween. She hosts parties every year.
Just take a look at this awesome feather costume she has on.
Damn she is HOT!

And last up I found this angel on the internet but I can’t find out who she is, can anyone tell me?

Happy Halloween to all of our readers.

Feather Cape Halloween Costumes

So just a week before Halloween, do you know what you’re wearing yet?

So after we have just written two posts about feather capes, now let’s just take at how they can be used in a Halloween costume.

First up is this guy wearing a feather and a black crow hat. It said that it could be found on grandinroad.com but I was not able to find it.

Here are another three great feather caped costume ideas found on the internet.

You can make the capes out of feather Fringes as explained in our last post.

I would suggest buying our 8-10 inch black iridescent CoqueFringe.

Also take a look at our feather masks to find one that is right for you.

Call today to find out if we can ship you’re so that you can get it in time for Halloween.

How To Make A Feather Cape

So after my last post on those awesome feather capes I decided to do a post that I have not done n a long time.

A nice easy “How To Do” post for our D.I.Y readers.

Found this simple tutorial on chic-steals.com and thought it was great.

What you will need for this project
1.       white feather fringe
2.       baby single face satin ribbon in cream
3.       scissors
4.       fabric glue
5.       hot-glue gun
6.       lighter
The idea is very simple.
Cut a piece of the feather fringe to the size you want for your cape.
Attach two pieces, about a foot long, of the satin ribbon to each side of the fringe using glue and I would make a small knot. Heat seal with the lighter the raw edges of two small pieces of ribbon, about one inch long, and use these to cover the raw edges of the feather fringe where it connects with the ribbon. Now cut the edges of the larger ribbons that are connected to the feathers on an angle. Use the lighter to heat seal the ends of the ribbon and you are done.

Feather Capes

These really cool feather pieces seem to be one of the new big things in the feather fashion world.

But they are not new to the world.

There is a story about Captain James Cook receiving a bunch of feather cloaks in Hawaii back in 1778.
Here is a picture of one of them.
Those Hawaiians’ were just always super cool.

But today you can find the biggest names in fashion putting out some of these beautiful feather capes.

Take a look at this one from Ralph Lauran.

Balmain feather cape from their fall 2007 collection.

And for the last of the big names we are going to bring up here, this feather cape from Valentino.

This feather cape is available from forever21 for just $39.00

To leave you all off with some food for thought.

If you were thinks that you could never pull off such a piece just take a look at how good it can go with jean shorts and a white T shirt.

Fall Feather Fashion 2015

Be prepared for a fall fashion that is going to ruffle your feathers.

That is what they are saying in this article on the VOGUE website.

In addition to Gucci embroidering, Givenchy printing and Rochas appliquéing birds on their garments we are going to see a whole handful of other designers decking out their clothing with feathers.

Here is a piece by Michael Kors that is very nice. He spiced up a somewhat ordinary navy and white dress with ostrich feathers.

This piece is also navy and white, but nothing normal with an added touch of white feather trim. It was designed by Lanvin.

Top Shop Unique presented these stunning black feather sleeves.

This piece is just the thing for space age punk rockers who love feathers. Designed by Proenza Schouler.

This all feather dress created by Marchesa is so elegant that I am betting we will see it at the Oscars or a like event being worn by one of the big stars.

Last we have this feather bouquet neck piece created by Dries Van Noten.
