Feather Footwear by Nicholas Kirkwood

Shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood could be found all over Vogue Magazine. He designs amazing cat walk shoes for designers such as John Rocha, Erdem, Rodarte and Pollini. He was also selected as a finalist for the inaugural BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Award in 2010.

Here are some great feather shoes that he put out in his Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection.

Feather Shoes

After I found such great feather vests I went for feather boots. But the truth is that what I found was for the most part not boots but shoes. So hence the name of this post is feather shoes and not feather boots. It works well because boots are shoes right.
So thanks to shoeblog.com I found these four feather shoes all on the same site.

This first shoe is something like the cover shoe for their blog post. It is really cute but they don’t say where you could buy them.
Next we have here this anouk boot by Delman that is beautifully decorated with feathers.

Available at endless.com but was out of stock when this post was written.
Did you know that Gwen Stefani created a company called L.A.M.B? Well I didn’t but L.A.M.B is an acronym for "Love Angel Music Baby" and they have created a pair of feather shoes.

They created this high heal feather slipper. This feather shoe is also available at endless.com and was also out of stock when this post was written.
Last up we have this second pair of high heal feather sandals.

These Urania feather and leather pump sandals by Givenchy are available at net-a-porter.com.
At the time that this post was written they were being sold at a 40% off discounted price, $690 instead of $1,150.
Well that’s all for now maybe I will write another post on feather shoes because there is so much out there.
Do you have any feather shoes you want to tell us about?

Feather Vests

I never thought that I would find so many great looking feather vests that you could buy on the internet, but low and behold there is a vast selection of awesome looking feather vests for sale out there.

They come in all different colors and styles. The prices range from $85 - $900 and up and the last one I am going to show you has a link to an explanation how to make it from scratch (but you need to know knit or crochet).

First off we have this baby pink feather vest which is being sold for 640 pounds.

It looks great and seems that it could be worn both casually and also for the more formal occasions.

Next we have this Dolce Cabo's suede and faux feather vest ($85) from Dillard's.

This one is more my style it has a rock and roll feel about it.

The next three vests I found at http://www.shopstyle.com

This white Irina feather vest is being sold for $900 which seems like a bit much to me but at least you get free shipping.

This ostrich feather vest was on sale when this was written at 50% off, instead of $700 it was being sold for $350.

Last up from shopstyle.com is this ostrich feather maxi vest ($749)

And last but not least because this was the first vest that really caught my eye is this Ozark feather vest from http://ozarkhandspun.blogspot.com/2009/01/pattern-ozark-feather-vest.html

She isn’t selling it, just telling you how to make it.

Awesome feather vest, do you have any you would like to tell us about?
